Getting Ready

The last week or so we've been doing little things to get ready for our move to Europe. The exact location in Europe, you may ask, is still unknown. The agent told Yemi about teams interested in Italy and the Netherlands but we won't know for sure until he actually signs. A little nerve wracking at the least.

In the past seasons, as soon as he decides the team and signs he leaves less than a week after.  This is the first time we have had to prepare both of us to leave. It is so exciting! The closer summer comes to end the closer we are to Europe. Both him and I are trying to spend as much time with friends and family as possible. I am going to miss these people so much.

I have never moved away, not for college and not for dental school. This is by far the most drastic decision of my life but mostly it doesn't feel that way. We have always talked about life post dental school. We knew that I would move with him when I graduated. Now that the time is here, however, I have to admit it is a little overwhelming.

I wonder how it will be out there...

Alright... Blog Time

I feel pressure with this first blog lol. Silly, considering everything life brings our way, that this should stress me out. I guess thats because its important to me. This blog will be way to share the next year of my life with my family and friends.

I am moving to Europe in about three weeks! I just finalized these plans over the weekend. I know so many people will be surprised when they first hear/read this. But this was the plan all along. When Yemi(my boyfriend) was first hired by a European team three years ago, we knew after I finished school I would be joining him.

So now it's time. No more reasons and no more excuses, I'm moving to Europe! This is the opportunity of my life and I can't wait to share it with everyone that follows this blog!

My goal for this blog is to convey my experiences in Europe as an American and as a new dentist.
