Coffee shop in the center square
The building most far back with white walls and red roof is the Bratislava Castle reconstructed in 1953.
The structure over the bridge is called the UFO. It houses a restaurant and a viewing area.
This is the National Musuem, hopefully when Yemi's sister comes we can check out the inside.
Fifteen years ago this center was completely run down and desolate. The building had broken windows and caved in roofs. Within the past decade it has become an area of thriving business and culture with a lot of awesome restored architecture.
Below I cropped the picture reposted it below because if you look on the right side of the window in the middle of the picture you see a canon. That canon is from Napoleon's army when they invaded in the 1700s. Pretty cool huh?
Did not know Kevin Costner was singer let a lone on tour! But apparently he performing here in Bratislava on March 3rd. Is this comical to anyone else??? Thats a long way from Aspen!Hope you enjoyed the pictures. It was a great Sunday afternoon!
We have a visitor in two days and we will be doing a lot of traveling around when she gets her. Can't wait! I'll make sure to blog it all:)
